Sainik school Nagrota awarded best Band Trophy at 76th R-Day celebrations

Jammu, Jan 30: Sainik School Nagrota has once again brought laurels by winning the prestigious Best Band Trophy (Boys) at the 76th Republic Day Parade held at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.

The coveted trophy was presented  by the J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to Lt Col Amit Selot, the officiating Principal and Band Contingent Captain Uday Kumar, at the Beating Retreat Ceremony held on January  29 of 2025.

The school band, meticulously trained under the expert guidance of Ex-Hav Showkat Ahmed Khan, displayed an outstanding performance which captivated the audience with their synchronized movements and melodious tunes. The official handout reads that their disciplined and spirited display earned them the top honors at the prestigious event.

Principal Sainik School Nagrota, Captain, Indian Navy Shibu Devasia congratulated the band and expressed immense pride and termed the award as the moment of great honor for all Nagrotians.

"The dedication and hard work of our cadets have once again placed our institution at the pinnacle of excellence," he said.

This achievement adds another feather to the glorious legacy of Sainik School Nagrota, reaffirming its commitment to discipline, excellence, and holistic development, the statement reads.
