Two terrorists killed as operation continues in Poonch

Srinagar Jan 31: The security forces have gunned down two terrorists who were trying to infiltrate to this side of the border in Poonch sector of Jammu division, Indian Army said on Friday.

The White Knight Corps of Indian Army in a post on its official X handle said that terrorist movement was detected last night at the Line of Control in Poonch sector.

"Alert troops swiftly engaged the infiltrating terrorists, triggering an intense and heavy firefight," the White Knight Corps shared on its official X handle said.

"The operation continued through the night, leading to the neutralization of two terrorists," the statement reads.

It further reads that the searches conducted in the area resulted in the recovery of number of weapons and war-like stores. "Operations continue," the official statement reads.
