Chancellor, University of Kashmir (KU), Prof. Nilofer Khan Tuesday said the initiative
of residential coaching program at the Centre for Career Planning and Counseling
(CCPC) of the varsity has transformed into a model ecosystem for civil services
preparation.
She said this while chairing a meeting of the UPSC-Civil Services Examination (CSE) residential coaching program to review its progress since its launch in October 2024.
Prof. Khan lauded the program’s rapid progress and said the University was committed to equipping aspirants with the best resources, mentorship, and academic support.
"The initiative of residential coaching program at the Centre for Career Planning and Counseling (CCPC) of the varsity has transformed into a model ecosystem for civil services preparation," she said
The University’s first-ever dedicated UPSC residential coaching program provides free coaching, accommodation, study materials, and mock tests to selected candidates.
Currently, 61 students are enrolled at CCPC, benefiting from expert mentorship and a structured learning environment.
The coaching is provided in collaboration with top-tier academies to ensure high-quality preparation.
The meeting was attended by Dean Research KU Prof. Mohammad. Sultan Bhat and others.
Director CCPC KU, Prof. Nazir Ahmed Dar, along with Dr. Yahya Bakhtiyar and Fatima Ali, faculty at CCPC, presented a detailed report highlighting the program’s achievements and future plans.
The review highlighted the program’s structured mentorship framework, periodic mock tests, and personalized career strategies.
