Jammu, March 3: J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the budget session in the Assembly was beyond a legislative formality.
In his address in the House, Manoj Sinha said that this session was not just a legislative formality but a reflection of commitment to good governance, transparency and inclusive development.
"This Budget carries historic significance as it is the first in seven years to be presented by an elected government in Jammu and Kashmir," Manoj Sinha said.
He said the session symbolises the people's power as it is prepared by the people's representatives chosen by the people themselves.
"This Budget is not merely a financial document, it is a testament to the aspirations of the masses reflecting their hopes for a brighter future," he said.
In his address he further said that government was focused to transform J&K into an educational hub.
He said that innovations, incubations and entrepreneurs will be actively encouraged to foster the culture of Start-ups among the students.
