Govt asks administrative secretaries to attend budget session, senior officers to record proceedings

Srinagar, March 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has asked all the administrative secretaries to attend the ongoing budget session while instructions have been issued to senior officers to record the proceedings.

The circular instructions in this regard have been issued by the General Administration Department (GAD).

"In view of commencement of Budget Session, 2025 of the J&K Legislative Assembly, it is enjoined upon all Administrative Secretaries to attend proceedings of the Assembly on the days their departmental business (questions or any other matter) is scheduled," the GAD order reads.

As per the order, all the Administrative Secretaries have been asked to ensure deployment of senior officers (Special o Additional Secretary or Equivalent ranks) on full time basis, as per fixed roster, to record proceedings of the House concerning their respective departments.

"The Departments shall ensure maintenance and up-dation of record with regard to deliberations and discussions in such proceedings on daily basis," the GAD circular reads

"These instructions are brought into notice of all concerned for immediate compliance," it reads.
