Srinagar March 13: The independent weather agency- Kashmir Weather has forecasted that the intermittent rain showers are likely to subside by evening or night on Thursday.
The agency has predicted that there will be a brief pause before another spell resumes by late Friday morning or afternoon.
"Under the influence of a Western Disturbance, rain and snow showers are expected to continue across most parts of Jammu and Kashmir until Saturday," it said.
It said that this second spell, lasting between Friday afternoon and Saturday, is expected to be more widespread.
"Weather conditions are expected to improve from Sunday onward, although a few areas may still experience isolated showers," the independent weather organisation has forecasted.
It said that once this system clears, no major Western Disturbance is expected to impact Jammu and Kashmir for the next 7 to 10 days.
