Srinagar, Jan 18: In a significant development the Indian Navy has completed the maiden Basic Hawk Conversion Course for the fighter stream.
The move is a transformative milestone for Naval Aviation and a moment of pride for the nation.
Following the completion of the course, the officers were awarded the prestigious ‘Wings of Gold’ by Rear Admiral Shantanu Jha, CSO (Ops), ENC, during a ceremony held at INAS 551, INS Dega at Visakhapatnam.
“This occasion marks the first time fighter stream trainees have received Wings at a Naval Air Squadron,” the official handout reads.
