Baramulla March 27: Baramulla Police conducted a raid in Jalal Sahib area of old town Baramulla in a significant operation against banned organizations.

As per the official handout issued here, the raid was carried out based on credible intelligence inputs and led to the recovery of incriminating materials. 

A police team, led by DySP HQ Baramulla Altaf Ahmed along with SHO Baramulla  Risabh Shukla and DO old town carried out a search operation at the residence of Irfan Ahmed Kababi, a member of the banned outfit Muslim League,in connection with case FIR No.12/2024 U/S 10,13 UAPA.

"During search, Incriminating materials like posters and i-card of Muslim league were seized," the handout reads.

It reads that further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and purpose of these materials.

"Baramulla Police remains committed to maintaining law and urged public to co-operate and report any activities that threaten peace and national integrity," the handout reads.
