Police recover lost bag of Air Force veteran in Gulmarg

Baramulla March 27: Baramulla Police have recovered and returned a lost bag to its rightful owner who was on tour in Gulmarg.

The move has demonstrated the commitment of JK Police to public service.

As per the handout issued here, on March 24 of 2025, Group Captain Ajit Singh (Retd.) of the Indian Air Force, a resident of Mohali, Punjab misplaced his bag containing Rs 37,000 in cash and other documents while he was on a tour with his family in Gulmarg.

"Upon realizing the loss, the family immediately approached Police Station Gulmarg for assistance," the handout reads.

Acting swiftly, Baramulla Police initiated a prompt search operation with dedicated efforts following which the lost bag was located and safely handed over to Ajit Singh and his family.

"They expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the officials for their quick and efficient response," the Police handout reads.

The handout reads that Baramulla Police remains committed to serving the public 24x7 and urges citizens to reach out with their concerns and issues.

"Our doors are always open to ensure safety, security, and assistance to all," it reads.
