Srinagar, March 27: Sopore police on Thursday conducted a raid at Bomai, targeting the individuals associated with proscribed outfits viz Democratic Freedom Party (DFP).
The raid was conducted in connection with the investigation of Case FIR No. 08/2024 U/S 10,13 UA(P) Act,
As per the handout issued here, the Police search was carried at the residential premises of separatist elements suspected of involvement in unlawful activities that pose a threat to public orderand national security.
"The search was conducted after obtaining warrant from Hon'ble Court of law," the handout reads.
It reads that several incriminating materials linked to the activities of the banned outfits were seized during the search, as evidence in FIR registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). "The raid was conducted in the presence of Magistrate and independent witnesses to ensure full legal adherence and procedural transparency," it reads.
Sopore Police in a statement reaffirmed its committment to dismantle the terror ecosystem and taking strict action against individuals "attempting to disrupt peace and stability in the region."
