Ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, Indian Army’s Rana Battalion conducts Khairiyat Patrol in Bagtore Near LoC

KS News Desk

Gurez, March 28: As the holy month of Ramadan nears its conclusion, the Indian Army's Rana Battalion on Thursday carried out a Khairiyat Patrol in the Bagtore area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez Valley, Bandipora district.

During the patrol, army personnel visited households door-to-door, engaging with residents to understand the difficulties they faced due to the closure of the Gurez-Bandipora road.

The initiative aimed to strengthen ties between the local population and security forces while ensuring that grievances were acknowledged.

The Gurez-Bandipora road, a crucial link for the residents of this remote region, often remains closed during harsh winters, affecting the daily lives of the people.

The army’s outreach during this period highlights its commitment to addressing public concerns and extending support to the community ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Locals appreciated the efforts of the Rana Battalion, expressing their gratitude for the concern shown by the army during Ramadan. Many hoped for swift resolutions to the connectivity issues, which impact access to essential supplies and services.

This goodwill initiative by the Indian Army reflects its ongoing efforts to foster trust and cooperation with the people living in the border areas, ensuring their well-being amidst challenging conditions.
