Detention of peacefully protesting Vocational Trainers on Eid day unfortunate: Shah Fayaz

KS News Desk

Srinagar April 01: The Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC) on Tuesday expressed concern over detention of Vocational Trainers on Eid Day and pledged to support all their genuine demands.

The Vocational Trainers of School Education Department (SED) started their indefinite strike over systemic injustice.

In a statement issued here, President JKECC Shah Fayaz expressed deep concern over injustice with qualified youth working as vocational trainers and demanded immediate end to interfence of VTP model, inadequate salaries and the lack of students certification.

Shah Fayaz condemned the detention of protesting vocational trainers on EID day and termed the incident as unfortunate.

He said vocational trainers have been rendering their services with complete dedication for the past many years and were relying on the hopes of regularisation but they become the worst victim of exploitation though private hands which is a gross root violation of NEP 2020.

"JKECC stands like a leaden wall with JK Vocational Trainers Welfare Association and will not tolerate any injustice with VTs," a statement issued by JKECCreads.

JKECC appealed to authorities to feel the pain of these employees by resolving the legitimate right linking  salary from PVT companies to SAMGRA Shiksha.
