Srinagar, April 01: Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Rehaber Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) Khalid Rafeeq Bhat on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent police action against Vocational Teachers (VTs) on Eid day at Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, Bhat said such actions against dedicated educators are distressing and unacceptable, especially during a time meant for celebration and reflection.
Bhat emphasized that vocational teachers play a crucial role in shaping the future of our youth and deserve to have their issues addressed with the utmost seriousness.
"These hardworking individuals contribute significantly to the education sector, empowering students with essential skills for their futures," he said .
Khalid Rafeeq Bhat said the commitment of Vocational Trainers to education and community service must be recognized and respected.
The chairman JKReTTF called upon the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, to intervene and address the grievances faced by these teachers on humanitarian grounds.
"It is imperative that the government acknowledge the challenges faced by vocational teacher trainers and resolve their issues promptly to ensure a supportive working environment," he said.
Bhat urged the administration to approach this matter with compassion and urgency, as the well-being of educators directly impacts the quality of education in Jammu and Kashmir.
"The forum stands in solidarity with the vocational teachers and will continue to advocate for their rights and proper recognition," the statement reads.
