Srinagar, Apr 04: Member of Legislative Assembly from Pulwama constituency and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed Parra on Friday took a dig at the National Conference led government over their priorities.
Parra took to his micro blogging website X and wrote that a party that once appointed its own Sadr-e-Riyasat and Prime Minister is now fighting over Tehsildar appointments and not the rights.
"Goalposts aren’t just shifting, they’ve hit rock bottom. 50 MLAs unite, not for the resisting 5th August, but for KAS transfers," he wrote on X.
"Focus on symptoms only not on August 5th? You started by surrendering and normalizing August 5th, expecting them to facilitate you because you facilitated them," his post on X reads.
He said if the NC-led government would have taken a stand, appointed their own Advocate General, nominated 5 MLAs, and never compromised on 370 resolution, transfers would have been on their platter.
"You refused to stand for 13 July, and the Waqf Bill was just empty rhetoric. Now, the same cabinet that justified the same bureaucrats in a month-long assembly session is complaining about them," he wrote on X.
His statement comes at a time when the NC led government is at a loggerheads with the LG administration in Jammu and Kashmir over transfer of 48 JKAS officers.
A meeting in this regard is underway at the residence of Deputy Chief Minister in Srinagar.
