Baramulla, April 7: In view of the visit of the Home Minister of India, Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Kashmir Range, Maqsood-ul-Zaman on Monday evening conducted a thorough review of the security arrangements in the district.
He was accompanied by SSP Baramulla, Gurinderpal Singh.
The officers reviewed deployment, and took stock of preparedness measures in place to ensure a smooth and secure visit.
During the review, DIG NKR stressed upon robust area domination, seamless coordination among all security agencies, and enhanced intelligence gathering. He also emphasized the need for high alertness and meticulous planning to ensure public safety while minimizing inconvenience to citizens during the VVIP movement.
"Baramulla Police reaffirms its commitment to maintaining peace, security, and public order in the district and urges citizens to cooperate and support the efforts of the security forces," a Police handout reads.
