Pulwama, April 20: The Rouble Nagi Art Foundation (RNAF) on Saturday inaugurated a new Women’s Skill Centre in Zagigam, Pulwama and inaugurated second computer learning centre at Pulwama.
The inauguration of skill centre and a computer learning centre is part of RNAF initiative to further strengthen its mission of empowering women through education and vocational training across Jammu & Kashmir.
These new centre add to the growing network of RNAF initiatives in the region, offering comprehensive skill-based training in tailoring, embroidery, handicrafts, and basic entrepreneurship.
"By providing these practical tools, RNAF aims to help local women achieve financial independence and play a more active role in shaping their communities," the handout reads.
Speaking at the inauguration, Rouble Nagi, Founder of RNAF, reaffirmed her commitment to grassroots empowerment:
“True empowerment begins with education and opportunity. Through our skill centres, we aim to provide both. Every woman trained here is a step forward in creating a stronger, self-reliant society," she said.
She said RNAF centres are spaces where women rediscover their potential and take charge of their future.
"We are proud to stand with the women of Kashmir on this journey," she said.
The launch in Pulwama is yet another feather in RNAF’s cap, underscoring its long-standing dedication to sustainable social development.
In line with this vision, RNAF also introduced Studio Saksham, an e-commerce platform designed to support and sustain the outcomes of its skill training programs.
"The platform enables women to market and sell their handmade products, bridging the gap between local craftsmanship and national demand,* the handout reads.
With over five operational centres in Kashmir alone, RNAF continues to champion women-led growth, blending creativity, capability, and commerce to build a more inclusive and resilient society.
"RNAF remains at the forefront of community development through a powerful combination of art, education, and livelihood opportunities, making a lasting impact across India," the handout reads.
Meanwhile at a separate event, RNAF inaugurated its second Computer Madrasa Learning Centre at the Markazi Roma Reshi Centre, Rahmoo, Pulwama.
The centre was formally opened on Saturday, April 19, 2025, as part of RNAF’s ongoing mission to empower underprivileged children through digital education.
"This new facility follows the success of RNAF’s first Computer Madrasa, which opened in 2024 in Madrasa South Kashmir, and marks a significant step forward in bridging the digital divide in remote areas of Jammu & Kashmir," the handout reads.
With state-of-the-art computer systems and structured learning modules, the Pulwama centre will cater to over 650 children, offering them access to basic computer education, digital literacy, and tools to better integrate into the modern educational and professional landscape.
In her address at the occasion, Founder of RNAF Rouble Nagi emphasized the importance of digital learning.
"Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world. Our aim is to bring technology to the grassroots, especially in regions where children have limited access. With this centre, we hope to ignite curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child who walks in," she said.
She said that RNAF continues to work tirelessly across India to bring art, education, and empowerment to marginalised communities.
