Srinagar, June 8: The Vice Chancellor (VC) Kashmir University (KU) Prof. Nilofer Khan has termed the A++ grade awarded by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in its latest cycle of assessment, as collective excellence.
In her message, VC KU said it was a “defining milestone” in the university’s journey toward academic and institutional excellence.
The highest possible grade under NAAC’s revised accreditation framework, the A++ status is a testament to the university’s consistent efforts toward quality education, innovation, and inclusive development.
"This prestigious recognition marks a defining milestone in the University's journey toward academic and institutional excellence," reads a message shared by VC KU.
It reflects the collective resolve, unwavering dedication, and exceptional contributions of our academic and administrative fraternity, the message reads.
VC KU said the A++ grade not only affirms progress but also reinforces KU's standing as a leading institution committed to quality, innovation, integrity, and inclusive development.
"I extend my heartfelt thanks to our distinguished faculty, officers, non-teaching staff, and all employees whose commitment has been pivotal in attaining this distinction," it reads.
VC has made a special note of appreciation to the Prof. Manzoor A Shah (Director) and his team at Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance (DIQA) for their exemplary coordination throughout the accreditation process.
"I extend my sincere appreciation to the Directorate of IT & SS for their exemplary technical stewardship — ensuring end-to-end digital preparedness, flawless live streaming of sessions in hybrid mode, and robust infrastructural support — all of which were instrumental in ensuring a seamless and transparent NAAC visit," the message reads.
VC has also appreciated Media Education Research Centre (MERC) for their valuable contribution in documenting key moments and producing impactful visual content with professionalism.
"I also place on record my thanks to the Dean Academic Affairs, Dean Research, Dean College Development Council, Registrar, Controller of Examinations and all Statutory Officers of the University for their steadfast support, meticulous coordination, and commitment to institutional preparedness that were instrumental in this achievement," VC in her message said.
VC has also extended special word of thanks to the team at the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat saying their tireless efforts behind the scenes ensured seamless communication and effective coordination throughout the process.
"Let us celebrate this proud moment together and reaffirm our collective resolve to carry the University of Kashmir to even greater heights — as a beacon of knowledge, research, and societal transformation at regional, national, and global levels," she said.
