8 girls from Chinar Yuva Baramulla get job placement at TATA Wistron

Baramulla, Jan 19: In a significant development, as many as eight students of Chinar Yuva Baramulla have got their job placement at TATA Wistron in Bangalore.

Hailing from far off areas of the district, these girls were enrolled at Chinar Yuva Baramulla in the Retail and Hospitality Course. Each course is of three months duration.

Chinar YUVA Centre Baramulla in jointly run by Indian Army and ONGC with an aim to empower the youth of Baramulla.

The coordinator of Chinar Yuva Baramulla said the students are enrolled and trained in their respective courses for a specific duration.

"We help them to get placed in different companies within J&K and outside J&K as well,” he said.

The Chinar Club was started in 2016 through collaboration between the Indian Army, ONGC CSR and an NGO. The official said the placement of these girls was facilitated by the efforts of the Chinar Yuva Centre Baramulla in collaboration with Aseem Foundation and Needs Manpower Private Limited, Bengaluru.

“It is part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of ONGC, which always helps skilled youth to get job placement in any part of the country,” the coordinator said.

He said after completion of the course at Chinar Yuva Baramulla, the students are able to extend financial support to their families.

“This opportunity has changed our lives. We are now able to support our families and stand on our own feet. It is a dream come true for us,” said one of the female students who got placement at TATA Wistron.

Since its establishment in 2016, the Chinar Club at Dagger Division near District Police Line (DPL) Baramulla has transformed the lives of numerous individuals, driving job placements and showcasing the talent of young boys and girls across various sectors.

The girls while sharing their excitement said becoming financially independent and supporting families was a dream come true moment.

"After completing my education, I struggled to find a job that matched my aspirations. I got enrolled myself at Chinar Yuva Centre which turned out to be the best decision of my life," a girl student said. "The training sessions were designed to prepare us for the professional world, focusing on both technical and soft skills," she said.

Another girl said that after completing her 12th she faced immense pressure to support her family. "I felt helpless, as jobs were hard to come by. But Chinar Yuva Centre was a glimmer of hope. The trainers motivated me to aim high and helped me secure a job at TATA Wistron," she said.
