Baramulla, Aug 13: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Gurinderpal Singh on Tuesday emphasised the need to maintain a high level alertness, strengthen inter-agency coordination in view of the upcoming Independence Day celebrations in Baramulla district.
While chairing a joint security review meeting with officers of different security agencies, SSP Baramulla asked the officers to ensure effective deployment of personnel at all vital and vulnerable points.
During the meeting SSP Baramulla directed the officers to intensify area domination, surprise checks, and robust intelligence gathering to preempt any potential threat.
The joint security review meeting was convened in view of the upcoming Independence Day 2025 celebrations.
The meeting was attended by officers from the Indian Army, RR, CRPF, CISF, BSF, SSB, various intelligence agencies, and GOs, SHOs and IC PP of district police Baramulla.
The participants carried out a detailed review of the prevailing security scenario and deliberated on measures to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of Independence Day functions across the district.
The participating officers reaffirmed their resolve to work in close synergy to uphold peace, maintain law and order, and ensure safe and successful Independence Day celebrations in the district.
