Sopore Police solve 2 burglary cases, 4 accused arrested

Sopore, Oct 4: Sopore Police Saturday said it solved two burglary cases within the shortest possible time, arresting four accused and recovered stolen property as well.

As per the handout issued here, a case vide  FIR No. 61/2025 has been registered at Police station Bomai.

Police identified the accused as Mudasir Ahmad Ganie son of Farooq Ahmad Ganie from Tujjer Shareef, Danish Shafi Dar son of Mohammad Shafi Dar from Maharajpora Sopore, and Tariq Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Rashid Shah from Maharajpora Sopore.

"All the accused were arrested for theft of a transformer and cycle," the handout reads.

In another theft case, FIR number 214 of 2025 standa registered at Police Station Sopore.

Accused have been identified as Sameer Ahmad Shah aka Chota Antta son of Mohammad Yousuf Shah from Neharpora Sopore who was apprehended for theft of iron items.

"Stolen property has been recovered in both cases," the handout reads.

"Sopore Police reiterates its firm commitment to act swiftly against burglars and ensure protection of public property. Crackdown against such offenders will continue," it reads.
