Gulmarg Snowfall: Advisory issued for travellers

Srinagar Jan 20: The authorities on Monday evening issued an advisory for the visitors travelling to Gulmarg on Tuesday.

The advisory has been issued in wake of the fresh spell of snowfall received in Gulmarg.

"It is snowing in Gulmarg and on the Gulmarg-Tangmarg road. Slippery road conditions are anticipated tomorrow," the advisory reads.

As per the advisory, all those who intend to visit Gulmarg on Tuesday have been advised to use 

4*4 vehicles with anti skid chains. 

"Avoid hatchbacks and sedans. Those who do not have experience of driving on snow or frost roads should avoid driving on the Gulmarg-Tangmarg road," the advisory reads.

The visitors have been asked to follow road and lane discipline and avoid overtaking on the GT road. 

"Above 12 seater vehicles are strictly prohibited. Adhere to the advisories already issued by Baramulla Police, Civil Administration and Traffic Police," it reads.
