Electronic devices seized for investigation

Handwara, Nov 27: Handwara Police on Thursday conducted a raid at Jamia Islamia Institute, Waripora Handwara.

The raid was conducted after receiving a credible information regarding suspected unlawful activities and possible links with JEI.

The Police handout reads that electronic devices recovered during the operation have been seized and are being thoroughly examined to ascertain their usage and to verify any suspected affiliations, including possible links with banned organisations such as Jamaat-e-Islami (JEI).

"The investigation is ongoing," the handout reads.

"Handwara Police remains committed to acting firmly against any individuals or entities involved in unlawful or anti-national activities," it reads.

Handwara Police assured that all actions were being taken strictly within the ambit of law, with complete transparency and accountability.

"Further details will be shared as the investigation progresses," it reads.
