KU to hold 21st Convocation in December last week

Srinagar, Dec 16: In a significant development, the Kashmir University (KU) is scheduled to hold the 21st Convocation of the varsity in the last week of December this year.

As per the official notification, the function will be held at Convocation Complex of the varsity.

"All the students who have been declared qualified for the award of the Ph.D, M.Phil, MD, MS Diploma in Anesthesiology or Orthalmology and Gynaecology since the last convocation held on October 11 of 2023 will be admitted to the Convocation for the conferment of Degrees," the KU notification reads.

It reads that all the meritorious candidates who have secured 1st position in different Undergraduate and Post graduate courses in the examination held from October 2023 to November 25 will also be admitted to the Convocation for the award of gold, silver medals and cash prizes.

"The eligible candidates falling under the above categories shall be required to register for attending the ensuing Convocation by submitting the online form, available on University Website, before December 23 of 2025," the KU notification reads.

"So that Special Identity cards are prepared well in time. Unregistered candidate shall not be allowed to attend the Convocation," it reads 

It reads that further instructions to the registered students shall be notified separately on the University website.
