DC Kupwara provides uniforms to sanitation workers of MC Handwara

Kupwara, Jan 22: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Ayushi Sudan on Wednesday distributed uniforms to 45 field staff workers including sweepers and drivers of the Municipal Committee Handwara, as a positive gesture to acknowledge and support the dedicated sanitation workers.

The official spokesperson said the initiative aims to enhance the morale and working conditions of the sanitation staff that play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the area.

The distribution ceremony was held in the meeting hall of D.C Office Complex Kupwara, in the presence of EO MC Handwara, Arshid Qadir Bhat.

The uniforms, provided by the District Administration, are designed to ensure the safety and comfort of the workers while they carry out their essential duties.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC commended the tireless efforts of the sweepers and emphasized the importance of sanitation workers in the development of a clean and healthy environment.

She interacted with the municipality staff and assured that the district administration would continue to prioritize the welfare of the staff engaged in sanitation and other essential services.
