Younger generation should become conscious of their duties towards nation: VC CU Srinagar on Republic Day

Srinagar, Jan 26:  The Vice Chancellor Cluster University (CU) Srinagar Prof. Mubin on Sunday stressed on the need to inculcate the values in the younger generation so that they become conscious of their duties towards the nation.

In his address during the Republic Day function at CU Srinagar campus, VC referred to the significance of the day and reiterated the commitment of Cluster University to uphold the core values enshrined in the Constitution.

"We should to inculcate these values in the younger generation so that they become conscious of their duties towards the nation," VC said during celebration the 76th Republic Day.

The main function was held at its administrative block and the VC unfurled the national flag as well.

The VC accepted the Guard of Honour presented by NCC cadets and students with the national anthem being played in the backdrop.

Those who attended the ceremony included Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Principals of constituent and affiliated colleges, Deans of various faculties, Sports Secretary, Coordinators of IG/ PG programmes and Conveners of various committees besides the administrative staff of the university.

The constituent colleges of the university  Govt. College for Women, Amar Singh College, S P College,  Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial Degree College and Institute of Advanced Studies In Education- also celebrated Republic Day with the official ceremonies led by respective principals.
