GCOE celebrates Republic Day

Srinagar, Jan 26: The Government College of Education (GCOE), M A Road Srinagar on Sunday celebrated 76th Republic Day with a strong sense of patriotism and enthusiasm.

Nodal Principal of Kashmir Division Colleges and Principal of GCOE Professor (Dr.) Seema Naz unfurled the National Flag and took the salute.

The event was attended by the college staff, including teaching and non-teaching, as well as students of the College.

In her address, Dr. Naz extended warm wishes to all present on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day. She emphasized that it was on this day in 1950 that the Indian Constitution came into effect, laying the foundation for a democratic India.

Speaking on the theme of the day, ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’ (Golden India: Heritage and Progress), Dr. Naz highlighted the nation’s rich cultural heritage and its remarkable strides in development. She urged the faculty to engage in cutting-edge research and explore the frontiers of new-age technology, aiming to find solutions to pressing societal issues.

Dr. Naz also underscored the critical role that educational institutions play in the nation's development and their responsibility to shape the future of India.
