Says Central Government, State Government, MPs, MLAs not separate
institutions but a collective effort
Baramulla, Jan 28: Union Minister of State (MoS) for Micro, Small
& Medium Enterprises (MSME), Labour and Employment Shobha Karandlaje on Tuesday
said that the local and the Central government has to work together to achieve
the desired goals of progress and development.
She was speaking
during a meeting convened at Dak Bungalow Baramulla to review progress on
various indicators of NITI Ayog's Aspirational District Programme (ADP).
She said that the vision and mission of Prime Minister Narendra Modi won't get accomplished unless the ideas are implemented on ground by the concerned officers at every level.
"A lot of money under different schemes is coming central government to the state government. The State government and the central government should work together to fulfill the purpose of these schemes. Only Modi does not have to act but there should be execution at ground level as well," she said.
The minister said that people (officers) should not treat Central Government, State Government, Member Parliaments and MLAs as separate institutions. "It is not like that. We all have to work together then only we can move forward towards a better future," she said.
She said that the Baramulla district was special for the PM Narendra Modi and that is why the district is getting more attention under Aspirational District Program and back to back meetings were held to review the progress of the district.
"Besides an Aspirational district, Baramulla is a strategic district and a border district. That is why we are giving more money to it and we are focusing on everything. We will work together for the progress of Baramulla," she said.
Earlier, the Union MoS directed the officers from the health department to conduct comprehensive research to identify the causes of infant and maternal mortality in the district.
She asked for implementing targeted interventions to ensure further reductions in mortality rates, thereby improving overall healthcare outcomes.
Shobha Karandlaje asked the officials to accelerate the execution of developmental projects, particularly those that support MSMEs, employment generation and livelihood enhancement.
