NC sacks social media advisor after SPO honorarium hike fiasco

Srinagar Jan 30: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has sacked the social media advisor of Vice President for uploading a post regarding the honorarium of the SPOs.

A post was earlier shared on twitter handle of JKNC wherein the party claimed to fulfill its promise of providing one lac jobs.

However, few hours later, JKNC social media advisor became the first causality to lost his job.

In a fresh post shared on its official X handle, JKNC said that a recent post concerning SPOs honorarium was put out from various handles connected to the party and the Chief Minister.

"This post should not have been put out and was done without any attempt to verify or cross check the information being put out," JKNC in its post on X said 

"The person responsible has been taken to task and has been divested of his responsibility as Social Media advisor to VP JKNC," it reads.

The JKNC said while it has been strongly advocating for an increase in the honorarium and are making every effort to see this done, "it has not happened till now."
