Bandipora admin felicitates Shabnum Kousar for promotion of sports

Bandipora, Feb 01: The District Administration Bandipora on Saturday awarded Principal Army Goodwill School (AGS) Bandipora Shabnum Kousar for her outstanding contributions in promotion of sports in the district. 

She was felicitated with the prestigious appreciation award by the District Sports Advisory Board during the District Annual Sports Award Ceremony organised in collaboration with the District Administration Bandipora.

The function was organised to recognise and encourage the individuals who have played a pivotal role in advancing sports at the grassroots level.

Principal Shabnum Kousars has given her efforts in fostering young sporting talent besides promoting a culture of physical activities .

As the head of AGS Bandipora, Principal Kousar has been instrumental in integrating sports into the school curriculum and encouraging students to actively participate in various athletic disciplines.

Under her leadership, the school has seen remarkable improvements in student engagement in sports, with several students excelling in district and state-level competitions as well.

The officials from the district administration appreciated her for dedication and emphasised that her initiatives have not only benefited her school but contributed significantly to the overall sports culture in Bandipora.

“Her commitment to nurturing young athletes and providing them with the necessary infrastructure and support has had a lasting impact on the sports development in the district,” a senior official said during his address at the event.
