Baramulla, Feb 5: In a major recovery, the joint teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) and the Army on Wednesday unearthed a cache of arms and ammunition from a hollow pine tree in the Anganpathri forest area of the Uri sector of Baramulla district.
The recovery was made at approximately 1315 hours during a search operation.
The recovered arms and ammunition, which were wrapped in a blanket, include three AK-47 Rifles, 11 AK Magazines, 292AK Rounds, one UBGL (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher), nine UBGL Grenades and two hand Grenades as well.
"In connection with this recovery, FIR No. 07/2025 has been registered at Police Station Boniyar, Baramulla, and further investigations are underway," an official told Kashmir Square.
