Srinagar, Feb 11: In a significant development, a government school teacher from Baramulla district has made a significant mark at the National Teachers' Conference-2025.
The conference was organized by RIE Bhopal.
Sajad Akbar Rather, a teacher posted at Government Boys' Higher Secondary School (HSS) Bomai Baramulla was the only teacher from the School Education Department, to have his paper selected for presentation at the prestigious event.
Out of 336 paper abstracts and 215 full papers, only 99 were chosen for paper and poster presentations, making this an outstanding academic achievement.
Sajad Akbar Rather was awarded the UT level best teacher award in 2022 and is recipient of the National Award for Innovative Practices (2018) from NCERT as well.
Rather presented his research paper titled "Empowering Students through Scratch-Based Computer Coding."
His paper underscores the transformative role of coding in education, demonstrating how it empowers students, enhances problem-solving skills, and fosters creativity.
Additionally, he highlighted how coding can be leveraged to optimize the resources of Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in Jammu and Kashmir, provided by the Government of India, ensuring their maximum utilization for educational advancement.
His participation at the national level highlights the growing significance of digital education and innovative teaching methodologies in modern learning.
This accomplishment is expected to inspire more educators to integrate technology-driven approaches into classrooms for better student engagement and skill development.
