74000 students write class 10th Board exam in 636 centres across Kashmir

DSEK visits exam centres, reviews arrangements

Srinagar, Feb 17: Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Dr G N Itoo on Monday visited various exam centres of class 10th examination to review the facilities provided to the students.

The JK Board examinations of class 10th students commenced on Monday in which 74000 students were registered to opt for the exams across Kashmir division.

As per the official handout issued here, 636 examination centers have been established for the annual examinations of class 10th in Kashmir Division while 4000 staff members have been engaged for the smooth conduct of examination.

During the exams, DSEK visited several examination centers of district Srinagar and reviewed the facilities provided to students during examination.

DSEK visited Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School Rajbagh, Boys Higher Secondary School Jawaharnagar and many other schools of district Srinagar.

He personally spoke to the children about the facilities provided to them during examination.

He expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made in the examination centers and directed the examination staff to maintain a pleasant environment in the examination centers by adopting the rules and regulations.

Talking to the media, he said that the department is committed to provide every possible facility to all the students of the valley during examinations.
