Gurez, April 28: Despite heightened tensions between India and Pakistan at the borders following the recent Pahalgam attack, the Indian Army conducted a Khairiyat Patrol near the Line of Control (LOC) in the Gurez Sector of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The patrol was carried out in Dagan village, located in the Bagtore area close to the LOC in Gurez Sector.

During the Khairiyat Patrol, army personnel visited households, going door-to-door to check on the well-being of the residents.

With roads now reopened following heavy snowfall, people have regained the ability to move freely. However, the Indian Army continues to offer its unwavering support to the local population, even during harsh winters, as it has consistently done in the past.

Whenever tensions rise along the border, the Indian Army promptly steps forward, visiting homes to inquire about the residents’ well-being.

Soldiers reassured villagers, telling them that if they require anything, they should feel free to reach out, as the army is always there to assist and stand by them.

The local residents expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards the Indian Army, acknowledging that the army is always prepared to help them, regardless of the challenges. Despite the tense situation at the border, the army's presence and efforts in maintaining effective patrols brought a sense of security and relief to the residents.

They also conveyed their happiness and appreciation, mentioning that they currently do not need anything.

The villagers thanked the army from the bottom of their hearts for their continued dedication, emphasizing that initiatives like the Khairiyat Patrol are significantly strengthening the bond between the army and the local community.
