JKBOSE creates history, declares result of two classes in one day

Srinagar, April 30: The J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) on Wednesday declared the result of the annual class 10th regular annual (2025) examination with an overall pass percentage of 79.94 percent.
As per the official figures shared
by JK Board of School Education (BOSE) a total of 145671 students- Boys 75427
and Girls- 70244 had enrolled for the class 10th annual examination out of
which 116453 students have qualified the exam with a pass percentage of 79.89
percent- 78.74 percent for Boys and 81.24 percent for girls. As many as
59390 Boys and 57063 girls have qualified the exam.
The JKBOSE figures reveal
that around 16343 students qualified the exam with grade A1, 18678 (A2), 22219
(B1), 27171 (B2), 25583 (C1), 6432 (C2) and 49 students have been awarded Grade
D in the JKBOSE class 10th examination.
The pass percentage of
students in English subject has been recorded as 84 percent, Hindi (88.50),
Urdu (92.50%), Science (90%) and Social Studies (90%).
As per the JKBOSE figures,
one student has been shown Dispute Eligibility by JKBOSE while three students
have been awarded unfair means and the Board has cancelled the exam of around
138 students.
Five students have been
disqualified for one year while one student has been disqualified for three
years.
Notably, the result of class
10th examination was declared hours after the announcement of class 12th
results by JKBOSE. It was for the first time that JKBOSE declared result of two
classes on same day.
As already reported, the JKBOSE authorities had hired services of private network service
providers to ensure that both the results get declared on same day.
"All the concerned staff worked hard to make it possible. If everything goes well, the result will be declared tonight," an official said.
This year, the class 10th to 12th board examinations were scheduled from mid-February month as the government restored the previous November session in schools.
The JKBOSE declared the result of both the classes in a time bound manner as the education minister had fixed a deadline of April 30 for declaration of annual exams of class 10th and 12th students.
