Baramulla, May 08: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Baramulla on Wednesday ordered around seven private schools to dispatch their buses to Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla within one hour.

As per the order issued by ARTO Baramulla, the private schools have been advised to maintain close liaison with the District Administration and ARTO Baramulla for further coordination.

"The school heads are also directed to provide the details of the dispatched vehicles  along with the name and phone number of the driver to the ARTO office Baramulla (hqr Sopore)," the order reads.

The school heads have been warned of action in case of any negligence.

"Any negligence shall be viewed seriously and non-compliance during this time will invite cancellation of registration of the vehicle without any further notice," reads the order issued by ARTO Baramulla.

As already reported, Kashmir University (KU) has postponed all the exams scheduled up to May 10 (including May 10) of 2025 while the Cluster University (CU) Srinagar has also postponed all its exams scheduled for May 8 of 2025.

During the intervening night of May 7 and 8 of 2025, the Indian Armed Forces launched ‘OPERATION SINDOOR’, hitting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir from where "terrorist attacks against India have been planned and directed."

The GoI said altogether, nine sites were targeted.

"Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani military facilities have been targeted. India has demonstrated considerable restraint in selection of targets and method of execution," the PIB statement reads.

It reads that these steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were murdered.

"We are living up to the commitment that those responsible for this attack will be held accountable," the statement reads.
