Srinagar, May 26: The investigations into the cause of the death of a man in Baramulla were started on Monday.
The news agency GNS reported that the man killed in Baramulla district earlier today apparently did not come under Army vehicle after he fell from scooty and sustained head injuries in the unfortunate incident.
They said Abdul Gani, one of two persons on a scooty (JK01T-7661), fell and sustained a head injury after the driver lost control while trying to navigate through an oncoming traffic.
"Unfortunately, Gani was not wearing a helmet and was taken to GMC Baramulla where he was declared dead," GNS quoted the source having said.
The other person fled the scene and whereabouts are yet to be ascertained, they said.
Pertinently, Police have taken cognizance of the incident and its proceedings are underway.(GNS)
