Rs 10 lakh for deceased, Rs 1 lakh for injured

Srinagar, Nov 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced ex-gratia for the victims of the Nowgam blast in which Rs 10 lakh will be provided to each deceased and Rs 1 lakh has been announced for the injured people.
The statement was made by the minister for health and Medical Education (H&ME) Sakeena Itoo.
Sakina Itoo visited the family of Arshid Ahmad Shah, who lost his life in the incidental blast at Nowgam Police Station on Friday night, to express solidarity and extend condolences to the family.
She assured the bereaved family of full support from the government during this difficult time.
"Following the directions of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the ex-gratia relief has been sanctioned from the CM’s Relief Fund as a mark of immediate help. Rs 10 lakh will be given to each deceased and Rs one lakh will be given to the severely injured persons," she said.
