Baramulla, Nov 29: In a significant display of people friendly relation, 46RR of Indian Army on Saturday hosted a civil -military interaction at the headquarters.
The meeting attended by prominent citizens of Baramulla focused on having a robust dialogue and camaraderie among security forces and local citizens.
GOC Dagger Division, Major General Paranvir Singh Punia presided over the event and emphasized the Armed Forces' unwavering commitment to the holistic development of the region.
The primary aim of the gathering was to nurture mutual trust and goodwill, while deepening cooperation between leadership and the security forces, ensuring that peace remains steadfast and prosperity continues to bloom across the region.
"It is an outreach program to understand the problems of the people and to increase the bond of mutual respect and trust while giving the feedback on military initiative to uplift the society," a handout reads.
During the interaction, attended by senior citizens of Baramulla district including retired degree college principals besides other prominent figures and media persons, key Initiative were discussed for betterment of the district.
Earlier, a report was presented by the Army showcasing the action taken on previous grievances raised during the last interaction held in February this year.
The interaction aimed at encouraging smooth cooperation with army movement within the region for better operational efficiency.
It also discussed enhancing awareness regarding Army recruitment opportunities to inspire the youth towards a dignified future in service of the nation.
During the interaction, a joint commitment to strengthen communication was discussed beside having a deep understanding and building enduring bonds between the army and community representatives.
The prominent citizens of Baramulla expressed their thanks for prompt response on the issues raised.
They also acknowledged the Army's efforts towards constructing a better society and giving better growth opportunities for the future generations.
"This interaction stands as a shining gesture of goodwill, an initiative that nurtures trust, promotes cooperation and further fortifies the relationship between local leadership and the security forces," the handout reads.
