Srinagar Jan 22: In a significant development, the Cluster University (CU) Srinagar has put the post of Controller examination to advertisement.
As per the notification issued by the Registrar CU Srinagar, applications have been invited from the eligible candidates for the post.
The last date for submission of the applications has been fixed as February 11 of 2025 while the last date for submission of hard copies of the applications has been as February 18 of 2025.
As per the eligibility criteria set by the University, the aspiring candidates should have masters degree with at least 55 percent marks or equivalent grade of “B” in the UGC 7-point scales.
"The candidate must have at least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in level 11 of Pay Matric Rs 68900 117200 (Prevised; PB-3, AGP Rs 7000) and above or with eight years of service in level 12 of Pay Matric Rs 101500-167400 (Prevised: PB-3, AGP Rs 8000) and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational. administration," the notification reads.
Presently, Prof Khurshid Ahmad Mir is serving the Cluster University Srinagar as the controller examination.
Any candidate having comparable experience in Research Establishments and other institutions of Higher Education or 15 years of administrative experience of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar in level 12 of Pay Matrix Rs 78800-209200 (Pre-revised: PB-3, GP Rs7600) or an equivalent post, is also eligible for the post.
As per the notification , the post is tenured for a period of five years or up to the age of superannuation of 60 years "whichever is earlier."
"The age of the applicants should not be more than 57 years as on January 1 of 2025," the notification reads.
The candidates who have been awarded post-graduate or Ph.D. degree from foreign University have been asked to enclose an “Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, without which their candidature will not be considered.
"Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55 percent wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible," it reads.
The appointment, as per the notification, shall be governed by the rules and regulations of the University, the University Grants Commission, the Union Ministry of Education, and UT of J&K "whichever is applicable."
"The post shall not be interchangeable with any other posts in the similar PB and GP," the employment notification reads.
It further reads that only those candidates should apply for the post, who fulfil all the eligibility criteria by the last date laid down in the advertisement notice by the University.
"The University reserves the right not to fill the vacancy advertised, if circumstances warrant, without assigning any reason thereof," the notification reads
As per the notification, Vice-Chancellor CU Srinagar will be empowered to place suitable persons for its consideration before the Selection Committee along with the applications received in response to the advertisement.
