Sgr girl wins Silver medal in Wushu at 38th National Games, 7th medal in four years

Srinagar Feb 03: Bringing laurels to the valley, a 19-year-old Wushu star from Bemina area of Srinagar district Ayeera Hassan Chisti has clinched Silver medal in Wushu Sanda event recently held in Uttarakhand during the 38th National games 2025. She won the medal in weight category of 52 kg.

Known for her dedication and remarkable skills, Ayeera continues to make her mark on the national and international stage in wushu by displaying here skills during the championships.

Ayeera Chishti has been a trailblazer in wushu, creating history as the first Wushu athlete from J&K to win a Bronze medal at the 8th Junior Wushu World Championship, held in Indonesia in 2022.


Ayeera has also won a Gold medal in junior national championship held in Patn in 2023 besides she has also won a Bronze medal in senior national Wushu championship held in Dehradun in 2024.

She also won a Gold medal in 2024 during a championship held in Moscow and was declared as a Wushu star.

She also won a Gold medal in Khelo india Senior women national league held in 2024 and was also awarded a Gold medal in national school games in the same year.

Her contributions to the sport have been recognised at the highest level, earning her the State Award, the highest honor in wushu in Jammu and Kashmir.

Ayeera’s journey has been an inspiration for aspiring athletes, particularly young girls in the region.

She has proved that determination, perseverance, and dedication can break barriers and lead to success on the global stage.
