Srinagar Feb 04: The
selections trials for the upcoming 2nd India International and 1st South Asian
Soft Tennis Championship concluded on Tuesday.
The selection trials were held by the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India. The championships are scheduled in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, from March 16 to 25 of 2025.
Following rigorous trials at Gindun Sports Stadium, Rajbagh Srinagar on February 4 of 2025, the selection committee headed by Chairman Raja G N Wani, President of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association finalized the roster.
The talented players selected to represent India include Basit Nabi Wani, Ubaid Hassan, Tahreem, and Mir Farah Noorani.
Mohd Iqbal, Incharge Manager of Gindun Sports Stadium, oversaw the trials, commending the participants for their dedication and skill showcased during the selection process.
The J&K Sports Council under the guidance of the Sports Officer Kashmir Srinagar extended essential support and permissions which enabled a seamless selection experience across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
The J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association ensured wide publicity by publishing selection trial notices in prominent newspapers in both Jammu and Kashmir regions.
The committee extends its appreciation to all participants, officials, and stakeholders involved in this crucial endeavor.
