Jammu, Feb 5: Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma Wednesday said that international collaborations will strengthen coach and referee education besides youth exchange programs and football infrastructure in J&K.

He was speaking during his interaction with with instructors from the KNVB Dutch Football Association to discuss football development initiatives in the region.

Satish Sharma reiterated the government’s commitment towards promoting grassroots football, women’s participation and expanding the sport in rural, tribal and border areas.

As part of the initiative, a refresher course for coaches and referees is being conducted to enhance their skills and align with international best practices.

The minister reaffirmed the government’s support for structured training programs and global partnerships, ensuring better opportunities for young footballers in J&K.
