Srinagar, May 02: The Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Dr. G N Itoo felicitated the top performing students of government schools who qualified the class 12th exams.
The felicitation was done during a ceremony held at Higher Secondary School Bugam, Kulgam.
On the occasion, Sehrish Jahangir, a 12th class student of the host school was felicitated by DSEK for securing 2nd position in Science stream across the J&K UT.
Director School Education Kashmir, Dr. G N also congratulated the students, their parents, and teachers for their hard work and success in the class 10th and 12th examinations, the results of which were declared by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) on April 30.
Speaking at the occasion, G N Itoo said the School Education Department (SED) has implemented the National Education Policy 2020 and undertaken several initiatives to modernise school education, among which the establishment of ICT laboratories was particularly noteworthy.
He said that aligning the education system with contemporary demands remains a top priority of the J&K government.
He lauded the efforts of the students and the faculty while emphasising the importance of dedication, hard work, and quality education in shaping the future of the region.
On this occasion, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kulgam Mohammad Shabir welcomed the Director and expressed that his presence had greatly encouraged successful students, teachers, and field officers across the district.
He also briefed the Director on the overall educational landscape of the district and mentioned that educational services are being advanced in full accordance with the Director's guidance.
