Srinagar, May 02: Prof. M J Warsi, serving as Dean Academic Affairs (DAA) in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri was relieved on the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who is also the Chancellor of J&K Universities. Prof. Warsi was appointed as Prof. in the department of Urdu and DAA in the University on deputation.

His appointment in the University as professor Urdu and DAA was appreciated by employees of the University besides the Civil Society. "His exit today is huge loss to the University academic environment quoted one of the employees of the University," a handout reads.

It reads that University was on the track of implementing NEP and introducing more than 15 new undergraduage and post graduate programmes since Prof Warsi was given assignment of DAA in the university.

Professor Warsi has distinction of developing Internet based curriculum for National Foreign Language Centre (NFLC).

He has also served across the globe iincluding University of Michigan, University of California in various positions.

He was also awarded Glory of India award by London based India International Friendship society and Hindi-Urdu literary award.

He has more than 80 books and more than hundered national and international research papers to his credit .
