Chinar Yuva Baramulla, has been awarded the Best CSR Award for Skill Development 2025 at the ASM CSR Summit held in Pune.
Chinar Yuva Centre in Baramulla is a flagship initiative of the 19 Infantry Division of Indian Army under the 19 Artillery Brigade in collaboration with ASEEM Foundation.
The felicitation at the CSR Summit is the reflection of the work done in empowering youth in the Baramulla town.
Chinar Yuva Baramulla is funded by ONGC and implemented by the Aseem Foundation.
The centre has transformed lives by equipping thousands of young individuals with essential skills.
"The training programs cover diverse areas such as technical trades, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and soft skills," the official handout reads.
"Chinar Yuva Centre is bridging the gaps between education and employment by creating a pathway to self-reliance for the youth," it reads
A representative from the Chinar Yuva Centre while speaking at the CSR Summit termed the recognition as honouring their work and dedication.
"Such recognition motivates us to continue our mission of empowering youth and fostering sustainable development," the representative said.
The representatives from the centre said the Chinar Yuva was a shining example of how public-private partnerships can drive meaningful social change.
"The combined efforts of the Indian Army, ONGC, and Aseem Foundation have not only boosted employment opportunities but also contributed to the economic growth of nation and social inclusion," the handout reads.
Since its inception, the Chinar Yuva Centre has been instrumental in uplifting communities in Jammu and Kashmir.
By offering transformative vocational programs, it has helped countless youth achieve economic independence while promoting equality and social harmony.
ONGC, India’s energy giant, has played a key role in funding this initiative as part of its commitment to impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs, the official handout reads.
It further reads that Aseem Foundation, known for its community-driven approach, brought its expertise in education and vocational training to implement the initiative effectively.
"This award not only recognises the achievements of the Chinar Yuva but also highlights the importance of skill development as a tool for nation-building," the handout reads.
