EAC conducts culmination ceremony of motorcycle expedition

Srinagar March 29: Eastern Air Command (EAC) Motor Cycle Expedition 2025 Wings and Wheels: Glorious IAF, Magnificent North East' culminated on Saturday at HQ Eastern Air Command, Shillong.

The expedition was flagged-in by Air Marshal Surat Singh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command in a splendid ceremony, attended by the senior officers of EAC, Air warriors, family members, students from the local schools.

The expedition commenced its voyage from AF Station Bagdogra on March 18 of 2025.

The expedition contingent had total of 38 riders, consisting of Air Warriors, Agniveervayu (Women) and civil riders from Royal Enfield. The expedition steered through the far flung picturesque & magnificent locations in states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh & Meghalaya, covered a total distance close to 2900 Km.

Besides ingraining a fine sense of affability, camaraderie, adventure and patriotism amongst the youth of the North East India, the expedition also aimed at spreading the awareness about the ample career opportunities available in IAF for the youth by means of motivation lectures and interactive sessions by the team at different educational Institutions.

Air Marshal Surat Singh, in his address, congratulated and admired the team for their unflinching enthusiasm and zealous approach for undertaking this adventurous expedition.

He stressed on making the sports and adventure activities to be a part of one's life to stay physically fit and mentally agile.

He stressed on making concerted efforts towards bringing more youth of the North East into Indian defence forces.

He also thanked the Royal Enfield and BPCL group for providing necessary technical assistance to make this expedition successful.
