JKTF holds meeting to address education challenges, seeks robust ecosystem to nurture students' potential

Srinagar, April 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) on Monday convened a meeting in Srinagar to deliberate on issues pertaining to association besides the challenges faced by the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman Mohammad Shafi Rather while the proceedings of the meeting were conducted by the Provincial President Javaid Ahmad Bhat.

During the meeting, JKTF reiterated its unwavering support for all progressive teachers as well as student-centered policies and actions of the government that aim to empower the youth and elevate the standards of our education sector.

As per the handout issued here, the meeting brought together a representation from across the Union Territory wherein the stakeholders from the UT, Provincial, and District levels participated with enthusiasm and commitment.

During the meeting, the forum discussed various organisational matters which focused on strengthening and streamlining the overall vision and functioning of JKTF.

Participants expressed unanimous satisfaction with the overall performance of the organisation, applauding its role as a strong and unified voice for the teaching community.

Every member contributed valuable insights and perspectives, which were met with warmth and appreciation, highlighting the democratic spirit and collective wisdom of the Forum.

Beyond internal matters, the meeting also engaged in thoughtful dialogue around key issues and challenges facing the education sector in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Forum welcomed recent positive initiatives by the authorities, particularly the promotion of Headmasters, viewing them as steps in the right direction towards educational upliftment.

JKTF strongly advocated for a robust and well-supported ecosystem to nurture the dreams and potential of the region’s budding learners.

The Forum reiterated its unwavering support for all progressive, teacher as well as student-centered policies and actions of the Government that aim to empower the youth and elevate the standards of our education sector.

The members who attended the meeting include Chairman Mohammad Shafi Rather, Chief Organiser Farooq Ahmad Sofi, Vice Chairmen Javid Ahmad Malik, Shabir Ahmad Bhat Patron Ghulam Mohammad Bhat.

The UT level office bearers including UT Vice President Muneer Ahmad Khan, UT Joint Secretary Peer Sharief Din, Senior UT Advisor Ghulam Nabi Kralpore, UT Vice President (Women's Wing) Shally Vohra, UT Executive Mohammad Hanief Kherka, Finance Secretary Shabir Ahmad Bhat, UT Executives Abdul Qayoom Mir and Mohammad Ashraf Ahangar besides Chief Advisor Dr. Abdullah.

Provincial level office bearers who participated in the meeting include Provincial President Javid Ahmad Bhat, Provincial Vice President

Javid Ahmad Khan, Provincial Vice President Nazir Shahid,  Provincial Executive Nisar Ahmad Sheikh, Gulzar Nahami, Sajad Ahmad Para and Syeed Shafi Shaheen, Provincial Media Coordinator Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Provincial Organiser Ghulam Hassan War and Provincial Coordinator Fayaz Ahmad Mir.

District Presidents (DP), Fayaz Ahmad Malik (DP Bandipora), Ghulam Hassan Mir (DP Pulwama), Syeed Naseer (DP Budgam), Sahil Bashir (DP Kupwara), Shabir Ahmad Shah (DP Baramulla), Bashir Ahmad Shah (DP Anantnag) besides Mohammad Hussain and Shabir Ahmad Lone also attended the meeting.

The meeting ended on a positive note with all the members showed their unity, dedication and commitment towards the strengthening of the organisation and betterment of J&K's the education sector.
